The Minnesota House has passed a bill that is designed to cut down on students skipping school. A University of Minnesota grad student detained last month by federal immigration agents faces new federal charges and will remain in custody. Charges are now filed in the fatal weekend vehicle crash that killed a noted Minneapolis restaurateur. Nearly 200 employees in the Robbinsdale School district are set to be laid off to make up for a nearly $21 million budget mistake. State Lawmakers are highlighting the need for emergency funding for ambulance services in greater Minnesota.
