Justine grew up surrounded by addiction and trauma. She vowed to make a difference in the world and thought she could do so by becoming a criminal defense attorney. Once she got into the field, she realized the issues were so much larger than she had once thought. Amanda worked as a legal assistant and saw the issues in the same way as Justine did and both decided they wanted to try to do something about it.
