I forgot to put my headphones on. There. Now, an 11 seconds into this. And I'm prepared.

Welcome to the Daily Grateful. I'm Michael Croes. Have you ever had just the most rottenest week, like in a long time? I'm at the end of that.

I got to tell you. You know, you're moving along good. Everything's going fine. You're accomplishing what you need to accomplish.

Things could be better. But you know, you're grateful for everything you got. Things are going good. And it's going to get better all the time.

And you think that old Beatles song, it's getting better all the time. All that's going on in your brain and then all of a sudden. And all of a sudden. Something goes on with your vehicle.

It's going to wind up costing you a lot of money. Not a little bit of money. I'm talking about a lot of money. To the point where I had to sit there and I had to evaluate, I said, all right, let's think about this.

Is it worth it? Or should I just go get another vehicle? Well, going and getting another vehicle is going to wind up costing thousands and fixing this. So I fix this.

And you know, I tell you what, I'm grateful for the talents that I have for getting stuff done. I was going to say another word. Because I found a guy, found a guy who does this kind of work, went and bought all the parts myself. And then I paid the guy.

And the guy, by the way, turned out to be like the coolest guy in the world. I just met him. Just the coolest guy in the world. He was talking to me about his soul.

He says, look, my hands are dirty because of your air filter, much like my soul. I said, oh man, that's deep. But anyway, got through that. OK.

I said, oh man, that hurt. And then today, just today, today being Thursday, this is the Friday show you're listening to. But I'm recording it on Thursday evening. I get hit with another thing of a jog that happened at the house that wound up costing me a bunch of money that I don't have.

OK? I mean, a bunch of money that I don't have. But when you own a house, you run into a bunch of things that cost you a bunch of money that you don't have. So that happened.

So we got the car. We got the house. And at this point, when I was done with all of that, I came home after everything was resolved. Everything was done.

The money left my account and went on to other people's accounts. And I said, I host a podcast called The Daily Grateful. And I just had the crappiest week ever. No.

People did not let me down. No, I did not happen. My family, good to me. My grandkids.

Oh, my god, I love them so much. My kids. Wonderful. And then last night, I watched the debates.

And I saw that the guy that came out that was running for president, the young guy, can't pronounce his name. Not going to try. He's the same age as my daughter. And he owns like these billion dollar companies, or maybe they're multi-multi-multi-million dollar companies.

And he's the same age as my daughter. So then I decided I was going to call my daughter up and rag on her about then, say, hey, that guy, you know what the big teeth. I was on TV last night. He's like a gazillionaire.

And he's your same age. When I was yelling at you when you were five years old, he was five years old. When I was taking you to Disney World, when you were six years old, did his dad buy him this? I don't know.

I don't know what happened there. But I said, I want to know why you're not rich in making my life easy. That's what I want to know. I want to know.

She didn't have an answer. Karma, I guess. But when I look through all of the BS, by the way, the money thing is just BS because it's just money. That's all it is.

It's just my like having it in my account, rather than going to somebody else's account. But it's just money. And money's like a river. It just kind of flows.

It flows underneath you. And you got to reach down, you got to grab some of it and stuck, but a lot of time just flows not a thing you can do about it. You can plan, you can do all this other stuff. And the best laid plans, because I haven't been through all that in the past.

So I'm not going to worry about it because it's all going to get better. You know why it's going to get better? I will tell you why it's going to get better. It's going to get better because I am a grateful person.

Okay, I'm a grateful person and it went to total, I can't say that word. It went to total poop there. Set it that way. But I'm still a grateful person and I have faith that everything's going to be okay.

And it is, everything's going to be okay. It's going to be okay. By the way, there's a podcast by this really cool person named Norm McInerney. It's called It's Going to Be Okay.

I have no connection to it other than the fact that I'm a fan. I listen to it every morning and I'm a fan. But anyway, I'm a grateful person. And I want you to be a grateful person.

And I want you to think about all this stuff. Going on in your life that's irritating. You know what you do with it? You say, yeah, but it's just stuff.

You know, it's just stuff that broke. It's just a person who disappointed me. That didn't happen to me. Very lucky.

But it happens to people. It's happened to me in the past. It's just stuff. And I'm going to go back to Baker Miley.

And you're saying, who is Baker Miley? Baker Miley was the town council in a little town called Renando, Florida. Not the county, a little town town in North of England, Florida called Renando, Florida. And he used to sit out because he didn't have air conditioning.

And he would drink Pepsi out in the sun. He'd say, let the rough edges drag. They'll soon wear smoothies.
