Dealing with Controversial Gifts

Claims of dreams, prophecy and tongues can stir both hope and division in a church. Scripture does not say these gifts ended when the apostles died. First Corinthians 13 points instead to Christ's return, when believers will see Him face to face. Every claimed gift must agree with Scripture, and the person bringing it must honour Jesus and accept church oversight.
