Dealing with disappointment and asking for help

from Opeyemi Unscripted Hosted by Opeyemi Amusan

I recently had a very painful job rejection that made me really sad (I'm over it now, its been over a month or two really), and I realised how difficult it was for me to be vulnerable to those closest to me and ask for help because I was really struggling and wanted a hug. I spoke about how that made me feel and if you are like me, well, I hope we overcome the fear and lean into the love that is available to us.

I choose my topics from what happened to me a few days earlier, sometimes that very day. It’s not always comfortable, and it’s a little risky, but that’s what makes it an adventure.
