Parents that called for answers were given attitude, platitudes, and zero empathy. Many of these children would still be alive if not for the lackadaisical attitude of the Houston Police. Beyond Reasonable Doubt: The Troy Davis Project Georgia Public Broadcasting In 1991, seven black and five white jurors convicted Troy Davis of murder in the shooting death of Savannah police officer Mark MacPhail. Davis sat on Georgia’s deathrow for 20 years. Leading up to his execution, there were mass protests.
