Prior to his current role, he was a Managing Director and Chief US Economist at Barclays where he analysed and forecasted the US economy and monetary and fiscal policy, the Vice President of Economic Research at J.P. Morgan, US economist at Putnam Investments and Senior Economist on the Federal Reserve Board. Dean holds a PhD in economics from Stanford University and BA in economics from St. Olaf College.
