Fairley begins a two-part reflection on the story of the woman caught in adultery as recorded  in John 8:2–11. Dragged into public view, exposed before a crowd, and used as a trap by religious leaders, this unnamed woman stands at the center of a story about shame, hypocrisy, judgment, and mercy.In Part One, we enter the biblical text itself through a dramatic paraphrase of Scripture.
