Dear World Live | Institute of Politics

from Institute of Politics · host Harvard University

Photojournalist Robert Fogarty presented portraits and stories from his Dear World Live project. After a day of photographing Harvard students, Fogarty spoke about his experiences taking portraits in New Orleans and Breezy Point, New York. Fogarty asked five students from across Harvard’s schools to share the stories behind the portraits he had taken of them earlier in the day, then showed a compilation of photographs he had taken at Harvard set to music. IOP Director Trey Grayson moderated the question and answer portion of the event. Since its founding in 1978, the Forum has hosted more than one thousand events, seen by live audiences totaling more than 650,000 people and millions more via cable television, teleconferencing and the internet.
