Dear Young Me- A Letter

from Confidently Uncomfortable

Hey, what's up? Welcome to season two of the Confidently Uncomfortable podcast. Today we are real, raw, and vulnerable, but what's new? In this episode, you will hear a letter I wrote to young little me after a friend sent me a picture of my little self. We also do a little catch up as to what's going on in my life and what I'm currently navigating.    Dear baby girl,   You are such a light in this world. The dreams you had to stand confidently behind a microphone, and speak to a sea of people are coming true — in ways you never thought possible. And it's all because of you.   In this life, you may start to question your worth. For a long time the words never get to you. You shake them off and keep making your flower necklaces on the playground. You stand up for those who are bullied. And I'm so proud of you.   But I know one day the words cut a little too deep. You couldn't shake them this time. And for a long time, when you look in the mirror, all you see are the names OTHERS have given to you without second thought. You're a child of God and a beautiful part of the universe and deserve to wake up each day knowing just how beautiful you truly are.   For a while we forget who we are. But don't worry darling we get our shine back.   xo,    J   The @ConfidentlyUncomfortable Podcast is dedicated to her. Because for a long time she lost her voice. NEWMORROW SESSIONS - A PodCast Series on the Future of Hospitality Mario C. Bauer, Florian Schneider, Axel Weber & Dr. Tillman Bardt The Newmorrow PodCast is more than a podcast — it's a platform for open dialog on the future of our business, a platform for those building what doesn’t exist yet. Here, we share and embrace our passion for the hospitality industry, but we won’t romanticize the journey. We ask the tough questions, confront uncomfortable truths, and prepare for a future that resists easy answers. We believe that the tougher and wilder times become, the more openly, honestly and humanely people need to talk to each other and act together. We believe, openness, togetherness, and truthfulness should also be cornerstones of a professional community to develop our utopian idea of „open source“. This is a space where visionaries don’t just imagine the future — they wrestle with the paradoxes that shape it: success vs. happiness, data vs. instinct, stability vs. reinvention. Join leaders, entrepreneurs, and thinkers as they share not what made them — but what’s actively shaping them, now and next.
