Death House

from Maybe it’s Spiritual · host Raphael Gonzalez

*Trigger warning* sensitive topics including death and suicide discussed. Jessica Barnes, a tattoo artist from California, tells her story about growing up next to “the death house,” a family nickname for the seemingly haunted house behind their own. From the time she was just an infant living in Winchester, CA, the house behind her family’s seemed to attract tragedy to all who lived there. Jessica discusses the unexpected deaths that claimed many of the residents’ lives and describes what it was like growing up near a house plagued by misfortune. She also shares her own spiritual experience with an imaginary friend named Donald, who appeared to her as the spirit of a young boy. Jessica would later discover through therapy that she is a receptor to the paranormal. We talk about this idea and more, as a possible answer to why she always attracted spiritual energy throughout her life.
