Death Meets Life

In this sermon, Fr Arseny reminds us that the Lord has authority over everything, including death, and that He sees our suffering, knows our pain and meets us with compassion, just as He did when He encountered the widow who had lost her only son. At our lowest points, when we may feel overwhelmed by suffering, we have the opportunity to encounter Christ, experience His healing and find the strength to carry on; however, He never forces Himself upon us, but waits for us to turn to Him willingly. As we seek healing from sin, we must ask ourselves whether we are willing to do whatever it takes to be healed through asking, obeying, believing and acting in faith.
