Death of woman in Helton Park ruled a suicide

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office investigation of a deceased person found in Helton Nature Park has concluded. On June 23, personnel with the sheriff’s office, along with Wilson County Emergency Services District 2, responded to a report of a deceased adult female at the edge of the San Antonio River, north of Floresville. The body of a woman was found and was determined to have suffered from a gunshot wound, according to sheriff’s office Public Information Officer Skylar Dailey.
