Deathless Boy (passage) الفتى الذي لا يموت (مرور) अल्फ़्टी जो मरता नहीं

First Take. This is not a literal translation nor is it accurate to the word or concept. I first heard it in the French production of the Mahabharata ... a real challenge at six hours. War without end, murder, deceit, brothers against brothers, absolute destruction and Krishna dancing with lights about horrors we all freak out about. Then this soliloquy when the Deathless Boy appears to the great warrior Bhishma, protector of Eternal Truth (dharma), knows he is to be slain and accepts his fate reluctantly. Once invincible, and then not, never having tasted death he fears for the loss of the dharma. Through another character who visits Bhisma on his death, he is reminded that Death Does Not Exist, though Bhisma fears that with his death, eternal truth will be lost. It's a powerful moment. Taking a tip from Krishna's character it was decided to give it a rhythm not of death but of life. This subject demands a helluva more attention than 30 minutes at a digital audio station. Still, we dare to run it.
