My name is Deborah Smart; I live in Newark, Delaware. I am a widow living with an 18-year-old calico named Bridgette, who is my joy. My Three Greatest Accomplishments consist of my strong, unwavering faith, perpetual creativity, and invincible tenacity. By keeping the Lord in the center of my life, my unwavering faith has kept me through very tough times, such as abusive treatment, self-destructive behavior, and many other adversities. My creative mind and curiosity allowed me to launch three separate businesses and write five books. I launched Direct Konnections, Inc. in 1985, a computer software development and training business. In 1998, I founded Gladstone Publishing Services, a full-service publishing business. I helped over 50 first-time authors get their books written and published. In 2011, I morphed both businesses into One Smart Lady Productions, LLC. I have incorporated all of my talents, skills, and gifts to help authors build a publishing and marketing platform in addition to getting their books written and published. In 2021, I launched my podcast, “Smart Talks with One Smart Lady,” which is produced on multiple platforms. It honored me to have as my first guest my mentor and coach, Terri Levine. This year, I focus on launching my 3-tier proprietary system, "Smart Publishing Lifestyles.” I help authors leverage their book publishing and marketing guarantee. Later this year or early 2023, I plan to launch a second podcast, “The Caregiving Entrepreneur” - How to Juggle Two Demanding Worlds at the Same Time. My invincible tenacity helps me stay focused on my dream to continue working for as long as I can be a productive servant leader to my family, friends, and community.
