Summary
In this podcast episode, I had a very heartfelt conversation with Courtney Nicole about coaching men and how she feels the decline of masculinity in society is hurting everyone. Why does this matter to the entrepreneurial community? Because healthy masculinity is what creates drive, purpose, and let's face it closes sales! This episode is a bit off the beaten path from the normal business advice, but I'm proud to have this episode here because the loss of men who stand in their strong masculinity has become as taboo as sex, politics, and religion. This taboo nature around men is exactly why Courtney has decided to take her coaching practice and create a total focus on them. Courtney shares, "I chose men as my target market because I feel that they're really under-supported in today's day and age. And while I am all for Black Lives Matter, and native Lives Matter, and I'm a huge flier of the rainbow flag, I still believe that everyone deserves support. And I knew that there was going to be a huge dip in support for men when we saw some of the feminist movement really climbing high and fast. And the answer is never just to remove a people group were basically like, on a very extreme level seeing the genocide of masculinity, because people were afraid of it. And people didn't know how to control it, or it was used for ill, and for evil in society, and through wars and everything. So I just kind of studied masculinity and what men were going through and felt like I had a real heart pull towards them." A healthy entrepreneurial society is one that is balanced between the soft nature of the feminine and the bold nature of the masculine. Everyone deserves a safe space to discover their best self, and men, just like women, need a safe space to learn, communicate and grow together in their healthy masculinity.
