Decades Later A Suspect Steps Forward | Jacksonville News

A decades-old murder case took a major turn this weekend as a suspect stepped forward in the 1987 killing of 21-year-old Melissa “Missy” Ellison. At a moving remembrance ceremony called “Missy’s Light Still Shines,” her daughter Casie, now grown, honored her mother’s vibrant spirit. Organized by Project: Cold Case and First Coast Crime Stoppers, the event featured keepsake bottles with Missy’s photos and QR codes linking to her case file — inviting the public to help solve the mystery. This breakthrough offers hope for justice after all these years, proving that cold cases can still find light. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
