Luke 2:15 (CSB) tells us that when the angels announced Jesus’ birth, the first people invited to see Him were shepherds—regular, hardworking people. They weren’t famous or important by the world’s standards, but God chose them first to show us something powerful: Jesus came for everyone. The shepherds didn’t wait or make excuses. They hurried to Bethlehem because they wanted to see Jesus for themselves. God didn’t stay far away or too busy—He showed up. He came close, right into our world, right into our lives. That’s what Christmas is all about. Jesus is not just a story or a tradition. He is real, and He is here—now and always. So here’s today’s simple Christmas challenge: every time you notice something good today, say, “Thank you, Jesus.”When you open a gift. When you laugh with your family. When you feel loved. All good things point back to Him. Remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. Parents: Merry Christmas to you.
