Hey Carpool Crew… I’m Pastor Justin, and today is New Year’s Eve—the very last day of the year. Before the countdown, the snacks, and staying up late, we’re talking about how to start the new year with Jesus. James 4:8 (CSB) says, “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” As a new year begins, you don’t need big resolutions or a long list of goals. What matters most is choosing one simple rhythm that helps you grow closer to Jesus. When you take a small step toward Him, He helps you keep going. That rhythm could be a short prayer each morning, reading one Bible verse a day, thanking God before bed, or encouraging one person every day. Small choices, done consistently, can make a big difference. So before you go to bed tonight, pick one simple way you want to walk closer with Jesus in the new year. Write it down. Pray about it. And trust that Jesus will walk with you every step of the way. Remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you.
