December 7, 2025 – The Prophet Like Moses | Deuteronomy 18:15–19; John 3 Baptist Bible Church, Sparta MI

 Hope is born out of promises—and Christmas reminds us that God keeps every one. In this sermon, we explore how Jesus fulfills the ancient prophecy of a “prophet like Moses,” the One who would speak God’s authoritative word to His people. From the anticipation of Deuteronomy 18 to Peter’s proclamation in Acts 3 and Jesus’ own teaching in John’s Gospel, we see that Christ came not with human insight but with the very message of the Father. This message centers on our greatest need: to be born again and to look to the Son lifted up for our salvation.  – Jesus is the long-awaited Prophet like Moses (Deut. 18:15–19; Acts 3:22–26). – His words carry divine authority (John 12:44–50). – Regeneration is essential—we must be born again (John 3:3–8). – Salvation comes by looking to Christ in faith (John 3:14–15). This message centers on our greatest need: to be born again and to look to the Son lifted up for our salvation.
