Declaring an Emergency!

from The Malibu Guru · host Casey Aviation

I had a heart attack—yes, you read that right. I’m incredibly grateful to be here to share my story. This life-changing event gave me a new perspective on health and the importance of being prepared for emergencies.  In this episode, I’ll walk you through what happened—the symptoms I experienced, the warning signs you should never ignore, and how acting quickly made all the difference. I’ll also talk about the role of modern technology in monitoring our health and why pilots, in particular, need to stay on top of their medical well-being, both on the ground and in the air.  One of my biggest lessons is the importance of speaking up and declaring an emergency when it matters most. I couldn’t have made it through without the incredible support of my wife, Deanna, along with my family and friends. I’m beyond thankful for them, and I hope my experience can help others stay aware and prepared.Thank you again for your support. -JoeOur Spring M-Class of 2025 is approaching!
