Based on Dulat's interactions and friendship with former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah over the years, the book has stirred controversy for seemingly claiming Abdullah was ready to "help New Delhi" with the abrogation of Article 370 in August, 2019. Facing heat in Kashmir, Abdullah has dismissed the book's controversial statements about him as a 'cheap stunt'. Is it ? Or are we misreading the book?
