Decommissioning Temples: Why God Is Calling Us Out of Religion Have you ever wondered why our cities are filled with altars, shrines, and temples? Why, across every culture and generation, do human beings build sacred spaces, perform rituals, and seek connection with the divine? And what happens when God Himself declares that the old ways have expired? In this episode, we explore humanity's long search for the divine — a journey marked by altars, temples, rituals, and religious systems — and how it leads to God's ultimate plan: not to dwell in structures made by human hands, but to establish a living Kingdom within His people. From the ancient altars of the patriarchs, to the temple in Jerusalem, to the early church in Acts — and even today's religious institutions — we trace the unfolding story of God's desire to tabernacle with man.
