Since the age of 14, Simran has been an active advocate and ally in raising awareness for LGBTQIA+ rights and inclusion. She is currently a sexuality educator at Zero Period, designing and delivering programmes on sexuality education to school teachers across a wide range of demographics.This led to her association with the Pratisandhi Foundation, a youth-led NGO dedicated to the promotion of sexual rights and awareness where she worked as a program manager, public speaker, and curriculum designer, which allowed her to delve deeper into the cause of an educational intervention to introduce a curriculum in sexual education in an age-appropriate manner.
