And instead of being "celebrated," it is a day set aside to honor those who gave their lives in military service to our country. In this podcast, we reach back into history to research the origin and importance of the day.For some, it means the beginning of summer. To others, a time to get together with family/friends for a bar-b-cue. To some, it's a three-day weekend. However, some still take the time to decorate the graves of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Some share these decorations with loved ones who have passed.But honor has become a rare commodity in this day and age.
