But this moment is not only about recognition—it’s also a warning. Simeon declares that Jesus will reveal hearts, exposing what people truly trust and wait for. From the very beginning, Jesus is shown to be both Savior and divider, comfort and confrontation. This sermon invites us to reflect on what we are really waiting for, and what Jesus might reveal about our hearts when we encounter him. Jesus is God’s Messiah, our Savior—and his story still asks something of us today.
