Deejay Dallas on The U, Buying Wagyu Cows & the Jaguars Super Bowl Chances

NFL running back and ranch owner Deejay Dallas joins the Like A Farmer Podcast to talk about the surprising connection between football and ranching, and why the lessons learned on the land have made him a better player on the field. Deejay shares his passion for raising cattle, the work ethic that's fueled both his ranch and his NFL career, and why one of the first major purchases he made with his NFL paycheck wasn't a luxury car, it was Wagyu cattle. The conversation also covers growing up and playing for University of Miami under Coach Mark Richt, the moment he realized the NFL was a real possibility, great stories about Greg Olsen, his Mount Rushmore of NFL players, and whether the Jacksonville Jaguars can win it all in 2026. From the football field to the ranch, Deejay proves that success isn't just measured by touchdowns. It's built through discipline, hard work, and investing in what matters most.   Subscribe and leave a review to support the show!   Chapters: (0:00) – Welcome Deejay Dallas!  (2:00) – Passion for Ranching and Work Ethic Translates to Football  (7:00) – Playing at The U for Coach Rick  (11:00) – When the NFL Became an Option  (15:30) – Give ‘Em the Boot Presented by TECOVAS  (19:00) – Dating and Marrying a Football Coach  (22:00) – Greg Olsen Stories  (27:30) – Jaguars Winning it All in 2026?  (31:30) – Mount Rushmore of NFL Players Presented by CASE KNIVES  (38:00) – Deejay’s Off the Field Projects  (41:00) – NFL Paycheck Purchases?
