Deep Devotion

from Pentecostal Mission of Love Church Int'l

The love of Christ toward humanity can never truly be repaid, for His sacrifice was complete and eternal. Yet the believer is called to respond with gratitude and devotion, not as one trying to pay a debt, but as one expressing appreciation for immeasurable mercy. Jesus suffered, endured rejection, and gave His life so that the work of salvation would remain upon the earth. Now that work has been entrusted into the hands of those who believe, and heaven expects faithfulness from every steward. The church must understand that the kingdom of God advances through willing hearts that are ready to labor sacrificially. Christ bore the burden of the cross, and after His resurrection He committed the continuation of His work to His disciples. Matthew 28:19–20 reveals this divine commission, where the Lord commanded His followers to go into the world and make disciples of all nations. The believer therefore becomes a partner in preserving and advancing the purpose of God upon the earth.Every act of service done sincerely unto God becomes an expression of thanksgiving. Whether through prayer, giving, encouragement, sacrifice, or labor in ministry, the child of God demonstrates gratitude by ensuring that the work of the kingdom does not suffer neglect. 1 Corinthians 15:58 encourages believers to remain steadfast and unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that their labor in Him is never in vain. The life of true devotion is not centered on convenience but on commitment. Christ gave Himself fully, and those who follow Him must also be willing to stand faithfully for His cause. The believer who understands grace will not watch the work of God weaken through carelessness or indifference. Instead, with a grateful heart and willing spirit, he will give his strength, time, and substance so that the name of the Lord continues to be glorified in the earth.
