Deep Linkers Ep. 01 - Night Mind

Deep Linkers is a new offering from Passionfruit. Managing editor Drew Grant interviews some of the internet’s unsung heroes: the creators who dedicate themselves to researching, analyzing and producing long form content on esoteric niches. For our first episode, we’re joined by Nick Nocturne, whose channel Nightmind has championed independent unfiction projects with exhaustive analyst since 2015. His academic explainers tackle everything from Slenderman alternate reality games (ARGs) to Adult Swim’s WHAM CITY COMEDY; the existential puppet horror of Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared to the hidden messages behind the Internet celebrity Poppy. Even if you’ve never heard of an alternate reality game, you’ll want to check out this interview, where Nick, appearing in avatar form, offers insights about finding and sustaining passion , how to handle burnout and gardening creative content.
