No doubt the enemy will seek to energize our body of sin against us, but ultimately we yield to sin through an act of our will. No greater challenge faces the disciple of Christ than to learn to offer their body unto God as a living sacrifice. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will. What robs the believer of their joy and peace more than anything, is condemnation, guilt and shame when we fall into sin. Until Jesus returns, we have to sanctify (set apart as holy unto God) our minds and our bodies.
