Hey folks, Aaron here. Welcome back to another edition of Deeper Lore, a bonus episode that's designed to serve as a topical guide to the most recent episode of Lore. In this short bonus episode, I'll dig into our vast 10-year archive and point out some old episodes that fit well with this week's newest. The hope is that you can keep this spooky feeling going into the weekend, putting a handful of old episodes into a new, more powerful context.
So let's get started, shall we? For this week, it's episode 300, Bored Stiff. And aside from being the 300th episode of Lore, it's also a fascinating topic. We place our hands on the planchette and ask the spirits for advice.
That's right, a whole episode about Ouija Bored folklore. And this one really hammered home a powerful message. The public panicked for a very good reason. But it's not the first time that we've discussed spiritualism and all of its communication trappings.
So here are three older episodes that should pair up nicely with this week's new one. First up, episode 37, Passing Notes. This is a classic episode that has a lot of communication between the living and the dead. And let's just say that the dead didn't have a lot of nice things to say.
