Defending democracy in Peru : The November Protests ft. Alejandro (Shaggy)

Hi guys! In this podcast i invited my friend Alejandro, a peruvian student who participated in Peru’s November protests. We discussed about the movement, the demands, police brutality, democracy in peru, and the political climate there. Shaggy’s empirical experience shed light on the political situation in Peru beyond what the media presented to us, which was very interesting. Now, he said, that conversations about the need for police reform and (possibily) constitution reform is opening up. Which is interesting because it is simillar to the recent Chilean protest in 2020 when they decided to form a new constitution.
