Defensive Gaps and Offensive Flashes | Louisville Football News

Louisville’s gritty battle against Villanova exposed defensive lapses early—especially in coverage—but also showcased offensive sparks led by Linc Kienholz’s slick improvisation and a rising bond with Lawayne McCoy. DJ Waller turned up the heat on defense, making aggressive tackles that disrupted plays and cleared blockers. The team’s pre-snap motion kept Villanova off-balance, even forcing them into risky blitzes. Tre Richardson thrived with touches, but the offense still struggles with execution—blocking missteps and slow reaction times are holding back big runs. Leadership in the secondary and sharper fundamentals are key as the season heats up. Listen in comfort: Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
