Defensive Line Depth & Viliamo-asa Rising | Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football News

The defensive line is stacked with talent, but right now Francis Brew and Tion Gray are the undisputed anchors, dominating every snap. Behind them, players like Armel Mokum, Elijah Hughes, and Sean Civilano are ready to step up—and once Jason Onye and Christopher Burgess return from injury, they’ll get their chance to shine. Meanwhile, at linebacker, Kingston Viliamo-asa is proving he’s a star in the making. After a strong debut post-ACL recovery, his instincts and downhill speed make him a perfect fit for the starting role. With Drake Bowen and Jayden Osburn solid contributors, Viliamo-asa’s unique playmaking ability demands more reps. He’s not just a backup—he’s the future of this defense.
