Deification, Divinization, and Theosis

Host Martin Tanner explains that the phrase, "As man is now, God once was, as God is now, man may be" is not an idea limited to Latter-day Saint belief. The Orthodox Church teaches and emphasises it. It is the doctrine of the Catholic Church, even if little known and rarely taught.
