Dasha Rush emerged more than two decades ago but has never settled into one style. From techno sets on the main stage to more intricate experimentalism in the back room via floor-focused 12"s and a soothing ambient full-length, this self-confessed "hyperactive and neurotic" mind continues to ask questions of herself and her audiences. This weekend the FullPanda label head links with Oscar Mulero to close down the UFO stage at Dekmantel, so a mind-altering trip surely awaits anyone in attendance. As a taster before that main course, Rush has served up an hour of what she calls 'cerebral techno'. This deep space odyssey is charged with static, laced with interplanetary pulses and taut with a sense of adventuring into the unknown that keeps you on edge right to the end.
