Dekmantel Mix 516 - Hervé

Amsterdam-based Hervé's endless curiosity for finding and sharing music takes him into all sorts of interesting in-between worlds. Groove and subtle progression, psychedelic swirls and deep bass are ever-present no matter where he heads, including Lentekabinet last year. As a producer, he keeps things layered and introverted, and beyond the decks he co-runs a label, event space and creative agency that help the scene to thrive. This week's mix was recorded at home in one take, on a sunny Saturday morning, and reflects the records Hervé has carried this summer while "channelling the energy that I shared and received". The mixing is smooth as silk, with deep, cerebral rhythms making way for more steamy sounds that spin out into more freeform acid, percussive and heavier sound worlds.
