DeLauter Back, Batting Big for Guardians | Cleveland Guardians News

Cleveland rookie Chase DeLauter made a triumphant return to the field after recovering from a rib injury, delivering a standout performance in his first game back with two hits, a run, and two RBIs to help lead the Guardians to a comeback win over the Mariners. Despite setbacks, DeLauter has enjoyed his most consistent health season yet, playing in 67 games — his highest total since high school. Manager Stephen Vogt praised his seamless return and clutch play, while DeLauter credited his focus and belief in his abilities. The Guardians will carefully manage his workload as a designated hitter, aiming to transition him back to full-time outfield duty soon. With a solid slash line of .265/.338/.408 and 20 extra-base hits, DeLauter’s bat is already making a major impact — and fans can catch him live as the Guardians open a series against the Texas Rangers Monday night at 7:10 PM EST.
