DeLauter’s Wrist & Ramírez’s Rest | Cleveland Guardians News

Chase DeLauter and José Ramírez are both sidelined—DeLauter with a sprained wrist, Ramírez on a scheduled rest—to keep the Guardians’ playoff push alive. The 24-year-old DeLauter, a Rookie of the Year candidate powering their offense, is being carefully monitored as he recovers from Friday’s injury. Meanwhile, Ramírez, recovering from June surgery, gets extra time off to ensure long-term health. With the team trailing division leaders by 2.5 games and tied for the wild card, every healthy bat matters—and the Guardians are playing it safe to make sure both stars return stronger.
