Delightfully Happy

Welcome back to Artbeat Radio!      This episode consists of 2 songs made by service users using the digital audio workstation Soundtrap.  The first song’s theme is “happy”, and the second song’s theme is “excited”.  Service users first picked the theme of the songs and then picked different available loops they decided related to the theme.  Drum, bass, synth, and melodic loops were chosen to create the entire soundscape.  Next, a melodic line was created using Chrome Music Lab’s Melody Maker application.  The lyrics were then explored by discussing what made service users both “happy” and “excited”.  Finally, lyrics were recorded by the service users and layered on top of the created soundscape.  The final product represents the service users’ experiences of these two emotions.
