Deliver Us From Evil
from God’s Holy Mountain Broadcast Hosted by Evangelist Martha P. Davis
In this powerful message titled “Deliver Us From Evil,” Evangelist Martha P. Davis teaches that the greatest deliverance Jesus offers is deliverance from sin—the root disease of humanity. Drawing from Hebrews 10 and Matthew 6, she explains that the sacrifices of the Old Testament could never remove sin, but Jesus Christ, through His one perfect sacrifice, sanctified believers forever. Because of His shed blood, Christians have bold access to God and are called to live holy, consecrated lives, holding fast to their faith without wavering as Christ’s return approaches. She warns believers against willful sin and treating God’s grace lightly, emphasizing that true Christianity requires righteous living, love, and spiritual vigilance. Rather than focusing only on physical blessings, ministers must address the condition of the soul. Through the Lord’s Prayer—“deliver us from evil”—she urges believers to continually seek God’s protection from temptation, malice, and spiritual corruption. The sermon closes with a call to love others, overcome evil with good, and remain steadfast in Christ as we await His soon coming.
