How many people say that about their jobs? When Jon Katz was a public defender lawyer for five years in a neighboring state early in his career, he thirsted to meet colleagues among public defenders in that state who expressed a strong preference for doing criminal defense work. Usually he found that elsewhere, at national criminal defense lawyer conferences.
