Demario Davis and Poo Bear

On this week's In Service Of, the guests come from two different worlds, but they landed on the same idea. Poo Bear is a five-time Grammy-nominated producer who's shaped some of the biggest records of the last decade. Demario Davis is a longtime NFL All-Pro linebacker who, since 2013, has run the Devoted Dreamers Foundation with his wife Tamela — a program that's reached thousands of kids with mentorship, education, and support, built on the belief that a locker room and a community are built the same way.Demario helps lead Be The People's mission to connect Americans already solving problems in their own communities. Poo Bear brought that mission to life in sound — producing "Gotta Be Us (Be The People)," a cross-genre anthem featuring emerging artists Trevor Jackson, Smino, Sadie Rose Van, Momo Boyd, and Luke Borchelt. It's not just a song — it's an invitation to find your role.Today, why this mattered to both of them, why music moves people faster than a mission statement ever will, and what it actually looks like to step up. Here's Poo and Demario.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
