Somebody rolled a fat one And lit it up as well It made me feel sad Not because I want to hit it It made me feel sad Because I wish he would have hid it I'm looking at the kid Around his ankle with the bottle And thinking to myself "This is his only role mode!?" Will he ever learn about His own true potential? Will he learn the things in life That are essential And if I walk by Without saying a thing Will I be blamed When I stand before the King? I don't know But I pray to God To protect him Don't let him fall victim If the streets don't respect him Let him rise up On the Prophetic ideal And distinguish Between the fake and the real We don't need another life To be ignored We need to shine the light Of the Lord So I look him in the eye As I walk by And I give him a smile But don't say why Because you can say hi Without a joke And you can be high Without a smoke
