Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton is under indictment on securities fraud charges stemming from his private law practice from before he won the 2014 election. Paxton claims the indictment is politically motivated. But the case keeps pending. Democratic lawyer Justin Nelson is telling voters to rid themselves of the shame of having the state’s chief law enforcement officer under indictment.
