Democrats want to eliminate the Electoral College

The Democratic party aims to abolish the Electoral College in favor of a system based solely on the Popular Vote. While this shift would not have altered the outcome of the most recent Presidential election, given that President Trump secured victories in both the Electoral College and the Popular Vote, it poses a long-term risk. If the Popular Vote becomes the exclusive method for electing the President, it would provide a perpetual advantage to illegal immigrants and the political party that exerts control over them.
