Dems Clueless on 'Moderates,' America's Crippling Inflation, Soaring School Absences
from 3 Martini Lunch – Political Humor & Commentary · host Jim Geraghty & Greg Corombos – Political Humor Commentary
Hillsdale College Radio General Manager and Radio Free Hillsdale Hour Host Scot Bertram is in for Jim, who will be back tomorrow. Today, Scot and Greg start with a martini that's both bad and crazy. They welcome Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips saying his party needs to move on from Joe Biden. But they do a spit take when Phillips suggests a "moderate" governor from the heartland and then the congressman and NBC's Chuck Todd list Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Illinois Gov. JB. Pritzker, and several others who aren't the slightest bit moderate. They also unload on the Biden administration's talking point that the economy is great and we just don't appreciate it. The latest evidence is that Americans paid $709 more in July 2023 than they did for the exact same goods and services than they did two years ago. Finally, they recoil at numbers showing 25 percent of American school students missed 10 percent or more of school days in the 2021-22 school year, which translates to 6.5 million more students than prior to the pandemic. They also go through Michigan's numbers, which are far worse than the national average. Scot calls it a "national emergency."Timestamps:1:30 - Special Counsel named in Hunter Biden investigation2:35 - Dem Rep.
