Hearing the voice of God on a personal level through direct contact or through dreams and visions is highly regarded and practiced by those who believe this to be crucial in the life of Christians. You may have heard the term mysticism, which would characterize this type of practice that leads to a mystical union with God. There are some who would call themselves Christian mystics. What is a Christian mystic? Is there any danger in wanting to hear the voice of God for ourselves and to have intimacy with God?
