Denise Rue, LCSW, Founder of the New Jersey Psychedelic Therapy Association

Denise Rue is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Hypnotherapist. For over three years, Denise worked as a retreat leader and lead therapist at a legal psilocybin retreat center in Jamaica overseeing approximately 1,500 psilocybin sessions, and as many group integration sessions. Denise has a profound respect for the healing potential of psychedelic medicines, as well as a deep sense of the responsibility practitioners hold in shepherding people on their journeys. Denise has a private practice in New Jersey, specializing in individuals with complex trauma, especially adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Denise is a trainer for Fluence Training, teaching a certificate course in psilocybin-assisted therapy. This spring, Denise founded the New Jersey Psychedelic Therapy Association, which focused on education regarding the intentional use of psychedelic medicines, advocacy for passage of sensible and non-stigmatizing drug laws, and support for the providers who do this challenging and rewarding work. https://www.deniserue.com/
