Denzel Ward Joins Guardians as Owner | Cleveland Guardians News

Denzel Ward, Cleveland’s own star cornerback and hometown hero, just became a minority owner of the Guardians — proving his love for the city runs deeper than the field. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ward’s commitment to the community is legendary: he runs free football camps for kids and leads the Make Them Know Your Name Foundation in honor of his late father, fighting heart disease and saving lives. With a new 10-year contract with the Browns and now a stake in the Guardians, Ward’s legacy is expanding — and the team’s leadership couldn’t be more thrilled to have him on board as a true partner in building Cleveland’s sports future.
